UPSL National Player Of The Week: Winter Haven United FCs Osanie Reid

Winter Haven United FC Forward Had a First-Half Brace in 2-1 Victory

June 6, 2018 – Los Angeles – Winter Haven United FC forward Osanie Reid has been named UPSL National Player of the Week. A native of Jamaica, Reid scored two goals in the first half in a critical 2-1 victory over GGS Soccer Club in a UPSL Pro Premier Southeast Conference Florida Central Division game on Saturday, June 2, 2018.

Reid started and played 85 minutes for Winter Haven United FC (2-3-2 overall), which boosted its playoff aspirations in the UPSL Pro Premier Southeast Conference Florida Central Division with the win.

Reid, now a resident Winter Haven (Fla.), led the attack and scored with both feet as United FC gave GGS Soccer Club (3-1-3) its first loss on the season.

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 180 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 200-plus teams targeted for 2018 Spring Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
